213 Posts. Time for a Break

The Urban Flaneur has posted 213 times over nearly two years and has decided to take a break. The posts have been less frequent lately, which is a good indication that the I am running out of steam, or interesting topics to post. I am not planning on deleting the blog, just taking a hiatus from posting. If you are a regular reader, feel free to check back periodically as I may get inspired by a fine dining experience, travel stories, or just a need to type.

And speaking of travel, last weekend Frank and I visited our dear friend Deirdre in Newtown Square, PA, outside of Philadelphia. She runs the best B&B in town, well not a real B&B, but she is a wonderful host.

We visited the Brandywine River Museum in Chads Ford, PA. This is Andrew Wyeth country and the museum displays are from three generations of Wyeths, N.C., Andrew, and Jamie.

We topped our Saturday with a birthday celebration for Deirdre at a old historic tavern in Deleware. The two sister-sisters from our trip to Ireland joined us for a fun evening.

Thanks Deirdre for a great, relaxing weekend.

Medical Update: My CT scan shows no new growth, so I started on the next cycle of my research trial. I am very grateful for those results.

For the foodies out there, I encourage you to read "Never Trust a Skinny Cook" from my good friend and inspiration, Liz. Her blog is loaded with great recipes and stories. And for a little food in Paris fix, check out David Lebovitz, Living the Sweet Life in Paris.

Well, that is it for now,

Ciao tutti,

The Urban Flaneur

Trust me, I know about the pressures of maintaining a blog. I don't blame you for wanting to take a break, but please don't leave us forever! I will miss your posts, but I also know that you can't stay away forever. One good meal and you'll be back!

xoxo,
Liz
